Sony Cybershot Question?
I have a new Sony Cybershot (DSC-W330) 14.1 mega pixel camera, and so far it sucks. It’s pictures are much more grainy than my cheap 7.1 mega pixel Olympus. I’m trying to take some up close still photos (specifically of a 9mm handgun cartridge), however, I might as well be using my cell phone camera, because the image quality is atrocious. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? What settings should I be using?

Move your setup near to a well lighted window. Don’t let the sunlight hit the gun directly. Try more on bouncing light rays hitting your subject. Set the camera to the lowest ISO value. Set to macro mode (flower). Stay close to the subject and press the button halfway to focus. Zoom in. If it’s blurred, move back a bit. Focus again. If it’s still blurred, move back some more. When focus is dead-on, compose, shoot.
If the shot is too dark, set EV up. If it’s too bright, bring down EV. Shoot again…
