Do you need to clean the CCD sensor on an SLR-like camera?
Only if there’s visible dirt showing up in your images & there’s too much to simply Photoshop out.
To check, take a shot of a bright sky (fill the frame with it) at the smallest aperture you can (f22 usually) then have a look at a 100% image on a monitor.
Any small specks are sensor dust.
Edit: if its a bridge camera (no interchangeable lenses) then you can’t clean the sensor yourself. You’d have to send it off to a service centre.
