Predictions for iPod Touch 4?
What are some of your predictions and what are you hoping to see available on it?
Here are some of mine.
First off, I think it will have a case similar, if not, the same as
The iPhone 4.
Why you might ask?
Well here is why. When the 1st gen iPhone was released and had a flat back, later came the iPod touch with a flat back.
Then 3G with curve, same with 2nd gen touch. Then 3GS kept the curve, so the touch did too. See the pattern?
I also think it will have face time just because Apple said they would release many devices supporting this feature and because of leaked pictures.
Retina display should be on it.
What I am truly hoping for is the rear camera with flash, or at least get rid of the chrome back.
So what are some of your guy’s predictions?
I can discount one of your predictions for sure- a back facing camera. It’s not going to happen, as the iPod touch is becoming too much like the iPhone. It will cut into it’s marketshare.
A new case design is in order, you are right about that. Not sure if it will be all-glass like the iPhone’s, maybe an aluminum back, rather than the band on the iPhone. Because, if you think about it, all iPod touches took their case design from the bezel of the iPhone. The original had a chrome bezel and flat back, the original iPod touch had a chrome, flat back. The iPhone 3G and GS had chrome bezels and a contoured back, the iPod touch 2G and 3G had chrome, contoured backs. You see where I’m going.
The rumors of FaceTime support sound true too.
Retina display? not so sure about that. It’s a maybe. Apple seemed to be touting the fact that they can weld the display to the front glass now, making production cheaper, so it could happen.
Anything else will probably be a surprise. Nothing too great tho.
