To cinematographers: how much film (in thousands of feet) would it take to make a 1 hr film?
Using 35 mm film stock and a regular Arriflex camera.
Another question: what is universally known as the best brand AND specific type of film to use in a motion picture? (i.e. Kodak Vision 500T)?
Gonna write it out because I don’t know offhand:
35mm film is 16 frames per foot…Movies are ordinarily 24 fps, which is (24x60x60) 86400 frames per hour…divided by 16 frames per foot, equals 5400 feet of 35mm film for one hour. Sorry, can’t answer the other question!
