What HD camcorder – im on a budget…?

HI guys

wondering, if anyone can recommend me some good camcorders – which are not too pricey (0-$300, maybe up to $400…
my requirments basic – need somethin that records at least 720p and does have a really really good image stabilization (its meant for a short film – and a lot of shootin while movin will be done –
Oh, and one more thing – Ive noticed – its typical for digital cameras – when u move the cam to one side (recording a building ) the clip is kinda choppy – its like that the movement is not fluent (typical for CMOS sensors if im right – called rolling shutter ?? (i would like to avoid that if possible.. but i know my budget is really ridiculous for requirments that i have :D anyway, i ve seen Sanyo CG20 – and the picture quality looks great – any ideas if that one is good?
or better to get any Canon? SOny? JVC? etc..??? and also – what about Canon r106?

thank u in advance
Peter

After much research, I opted for the Panasonic HDC-SD60K. I got it from Amazon for $329 but prices vary widely. It does have very fast and powerful zoom, quick and effective focus, and excellent stabilization. Look for video samples on Youtube.

If you’re OK with 720p, the point-and-shoot digital camera I suggest is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7, which has the usual attributes of a Panasonic, with the excellent stabilization and even GPS for tagging locations.

If you wait a couple of weeks, you can get the ZS10, which record 1920x1080i movies, 16x Optical zoom, GPS, 3D photos

If someone gave you, as a gift, a bag of diamonds and rocks, you would not see it as “a mixed bag.”
