Recommended starter lens for Leica M6?
I’ve just bought myself a Leica M6 TTL and need to find myself a starter lens. It can’t be too expensive since I spent so much on the camera (I will be upgrading later in the year). I’ve been looking at the Industar and Jupiters out there since cheap russian lenses seem to be of pretty good quality. I would like a 35mm lens but 50mm would be acceptable. Anybody have any ideas? I know i’ll need an adapter aswell.

There really are no starter lenses for that camera. The lens you invest in will likely be with you for the rest if your life.

Ooops. I just noticed that you are not necessarily shopping for Leica made lenses. I am not familiar with the quality and operation of other makes. You might check out Voigtlander. They make ‘M’ compatible lenses.
I know you are not in this situation currently, but keep in mind that the quality of Leica Lenses not the quality of Leica Bodies is what really makes the system world class, IMHO.
