I do not know if there is something to do about your sick fish, but I would take the other fish in there – if your sick fish has received desieze and other fish could catch it. What kind of fish is it? Tropical fish need a heat reservoir and die a lot. Saltwater fish (obviously) need salt water, but if it's just a Fool's gold standard so maybe it's just old.
